Noah's Ark is fortunate to have a strong group of volunteers who help with
a wide variety of tasks that keep the shelter and its programs running.
We'd never be able to accomplish all that we do without them.
We warmly welcome all who would like to help the animals of Noah's Ark to
come join us. Whatever you enjoy doing, there's something (or someone) waiting
for you at Noah's Ark! Check our calendar for
upcoming Volunteer Orientation Sessions.
To become a Noah's Ark Volunteer, follow these steps:
You don't even have to live in Fairfield to contribute. Our Des Moines volunteers
help with our dogs at the Clive PetSmart on adoption days and keep our kitties
content who temporarily reside in the Adoption Center there until finding
their forever homes.
- Fill out our Volunteer
application (PDF format) and either bring it to the next Volunteer
Orientation, or mail it to:
PO Box 748
Fairfield, Iowa 52556.
- Attend a Volunteer Orientation Session. Contact the shelter to find
out when the next Volunteer Orientation will be held. Wear closed-toed
shoes, long pants, and a shirt with sleeves.
- Be 18 years of age or older. Youth ages 11-17 must be accompanied
by a parent for the orientation, and for all volunteer sessions.
- Please send us an e-mail
if you have any questions.
