Chipper and Shadow's Story...

Dear Noah's Ark,

Just sending a note your way to let you know that the two kitties I adopted from your shelter last month are doing great. They adapted to their new home very quickly. I think it helped that they had been fostered in a home before their adoption.

Tigger has been renamed Chipper after the Atlanta Braves player Chipper Jones and also because he's always so happy. He walks around with his tail in the air and likes to strut his stuff! He loves to play with pop bottle caps and is learning how to fetch a ball. Who says you can't train a cat to fetch??

Roo has been renamed Shadow because he always followed me around the house when he first got here. He's a quiet guy that loves to play with all the new toys that he found when he came to his new home. His favorite toy is shoe laces which makes tying my shoes while getting ready for work an adventure!

Both kitties got to meet their new vet last week to get checked over and get their next booster shot. Chipper wasn't impressed with the shot and expressed his anger with a very vocal MEOW! Shadow just sat still and acted like it was no big deal to get a shot. They both have gained 2 1/2 lbs. since last month. They are good eaters and get plenty of exercise running through the apartment and up and down the stairs! Sometimes I think I have elephants in the house when they chase each other!! They love to snuggle in bed with me and sometimes think it's fun to push me off my pillow. I don't think I'll need an electric blanket this winter!!

Thank you so much for allowing me to adopt two very special kittens from your shelter. It's been a learning experience for me to go back to having kittens again after years of having older cats. We plan to grow old together. I'm very proud to have helped two kittens find their forever home.

Thanks again,
Sherri
