Beth and Lily's Story...

(Beth - top picture, Lily - bottom picture)

Hi -- Just thought I'd let you know that Lily and Beth are doing so well! What fun they are to have around. They're very well-behaved. They both use the litter box, and Beth's favorite toy is the feather/bell thingy that was on the stick (she got it off and now frequently carries it around in her mouth or tumbles around and does summersaults with it). Lily loves playing with a foot-long piece of black cloth cord (the thick kind that she can't swallow). They also love sitting or napping on the quilt on my quilt frame, whether or not the machine is running.

We took them outside on their leash/harnesses day before yesterday, and they loved it. Didn't mind the harnesses at all and did lots of exploring around the garden and driveway. Will go out again today.

Last night I was standing at the counter getting dinner ready and Beth ran up my back and sat on my shoulder. Did the same thing this morning while I was fixing their food. Think she was hungry?

When we first get up in the morning and open the bedroom door, they both purr so loudly we can hear them from several feet away. And of course, BOTH ask to be picked up at the same time. Then their morning routine is (1) EAT!! and (2) nap on Dad's or my lap while we're having coffee and reading or listening to the news. For the last 2 nights, they haven't tried to get up on our laps or the table while we're eating dinner, so guess they've learned pretty quickly. Of course, they climb on us and cuddle up when we sit down to watch TV or a movie, and usually both of them fall asleep pretty quickly.

They're both quite good little snugglers, and come many times a day and ask to be picked up. Beth has taken to nuzzling our faces and necks with her face, and sometimes kisses our noses with her nose. Awww.... Lily will do anything for you if you just pet her paws, and she loves to be brushed. Beth watched and played with kittens on youtube for at least a half hour the other day. How funny! Lily looked at them and wasn't impressed at all.
