Dexter's
Story...
Hi Ashley,
Just wanted to say that Dexter really is the ultimate family dog. His
transition has been effortless to say the least. He rode home taking turns
with all of us, and as much as Sam and I were claiming him, Dexter decided
for himself that he is Dave's dog! He would put his front paws on the
console, and nuzzle his ear and rest his chin on Dave's shoulder and heave
such a big sigh - as if to say - " I have found my human!"
He has not had one accident, and loves his bed. He has slept both nights
through. Unfortunately he snores about as loud as Dave does. Dexter appears
to have acclimated very easily to his new home.
He has met most of the rest of his extended family, and everyone agrees
he is just the best!
His incision looks great, has not seemed to bother him at all. He has
not even shown any inclination to mark any territory.
So, all is well. I think we are ALL extremely happy.
Right now he is sound asleep on the couch. I just had a feeling when I
saw his picture that our lives were about to change.
Thank you SO much for helping us find him,
Michelle, Dave, Sam and Katy Bassett
