Blondie's Story...

Hi,

Ok, so she didn't want to answer to Blondie and when I referred to her as boody-butt, she liked it but I didn't think it would be appropriate. So we all toyed around with the names-of course we asked Blondie which ones she liked-but when my husband took my version of Saraphine and changed it to Sara, her ears perked up and she gave him a big wet kiss! So Sara she is and she loves her new name.

She loves the run she gets in the big yard. In fact the other day when I was trying to take down our swimming pool, Sara was racing through the yard and jumped in the pool-splashing all around just having a ball. When I bent down to let the air out of the ring, she seized the moment and jumped over to splash me...she actually flicked her paw up to direct the water! I swear she was laughing at me!

Oh well, I had a great laugh and so did she:) Our cats sat at the window watching the spectacle. Sara still has to learn some restraint with the cats--she thinks they are chew toys--but she is learning that her squeekie toy is for chewing and the cats are for loving. She has made friends with one of our more dominant cats and she is learning to sit and watch as the kitten comes over to play with her tail.

We are finding out just how smart she can be and how stubborn...She absolutely loves going for car rides, many times she wants to go when we aren't planning on leaving at that time! And she rides in the car so very well. I wish I had another like her so my father-in-law who is a truck driver could have a travelling companion. She would be perfect for him, but we love her so much, dad will have to get his own!

Thanks so much to all of you for all that you do for these wonderful animals. I love this place!

Bonnie
